Road fees and tax credits The approval of $100 tax credit for road fees by the county is pending final edited language. Applications for the tax credit must be made annually on real estate taxes. The county has posted some information about the tax credit online. It’s being monitored through county council meetings for updates. It is undetermined when the tax credit will be discussed during meetings as it is not always included in the confirmed agenda. The road fees paid annually by residents should be able to claim up to $400 with a minimum of $100 on their taxes each year depending on fees for each association.

Trash committee $5204 is in the fund currently. There is a new email for the trash committee trash@edenrocestates.com The community has asked about removing cars on road 14 and road 23. The cars are on private property. A letter was sent to a property owner to inform them of the activity on their property. This is just to inform the property owner that does not reside in the area. No response from property owner. If there is a property filled with cars you may call the non-emergency line and report an illegal junkyard and ask the police to come out and assess. Also, if there is a car on any of the roads you can call the non-emergency line and the county will have to come out and remove the cars. Trash committee chair would like to use trash funds to remove cars from the road lots.
The non-emergency #808-935-3311
A letter can been sent to homeowners asking for the burden of proof of property boundaries. This happens if there has been long term parking on the road lot, their fence has been put up on the road lot or any other road lot encroachment that needs to be addressed.
Deeded road areas, specifically those areas currently referred to as “easements”, are referring to the entire width of the road as shown in the subdivision map. Since none of our roads are currently developed to deeded width, the remaining undeveloped areas are considered the “easement” portion, not to be confused with any members own private property. Roads can be developed 4ft from the property line. Avenues are 60ft and Streets are 40ft. Homeowners are responsible for helping maintain the 4ft of undeveloped road lot. We understand that is not the case in most areas.
