Newbies 2 Eden Roc!

Aloha!
My name is Scott. My wife, Karen, and I are in escrow on a home purchase in Eden Roc Estates. We are very excited as we love the area but we do not know much about it as we have been on the Kona side for a year and a half from Southern California. We are looking forward to newly declared "semi-retirement".
So, I am sort of "fishing" for info, comments, guidance, direction, suggestions, things to be aware of, rumors, truisms, falsehoods..., well, you get the picture.
Is it possible to "acclimate" to the coqui frogs and flying pests..? I guess we'll have no choice but we don't really know what we are getting into although we are very adventuresome so we are hoping that helps, LOL!
