August 19, 2006 Minutes

Board Members Present: Louie Miller, Kolea Quincey, Tim Hill, and Fred Benardella.

Meeting Called To Order: 10:00 AM

Treasurer’s Report:
Beginning balance: $48,636.78 Trust At: $180,335.00
Debits: 16,026.59
Credits: 3,448.13
Balance: 36,058.32
Park: 3,274.13
Fire Station: 629.43

Abandoned Cars: Abandoned vehicles will be tagged and posted saying they will be removed in two weeks. This gives the owner enough time to remove it. There are a few that will be tagged after the meeting.

Neighborhood Watch: Problem with pigs again, other than that not much happening or to report. Loose family dogs and packs of dogs are still a problem. Remember, there is a leach law.

Park Report: Post are in for the chain fence around the park. Need a welder to help complete it. Water tank for the Fire Station is up. Trench will be dug to put the pipes underground next. Come to the meeting and make some suggestions for fund use. Talked about some type of pavilion for park (just a small covered area to get out of the rain).

Volunteer Fire Department: No one present to give a report.

Road Report: Trees have been cut down at the entrance and the entrance will be repaved shortly with remaining funds. Two loads of rock were dumped on roads where requested by property owners. It is 11/2 inch rock. A few other request have come in and they will be worked on this month.

Old Business: Clearing of right of way (Eden Roc easement) will continue. Let everyone know answering machine for Eden Roc is 968-8484. Information packets are now being mailed to new property owners when they purchase property.

New Business: Coqui frog spraying continues and they are a major problem (depends on who you talk to). Some messages have been left on answering machine but without a name and number to call back they don’t carry much weight. Numbers are being repainted on roads. Some suggestions made to promote meeting date with portable signs. Street signs with names and numbers were being discussed. It is a good idea but very expensive and will be looked at again in the future.

Meeting Adjourned: 10:35AM
