October 16, 2004 MINUTES

Board Members Present: Dave Vanderwalle, Louie Miller and Tim Hill
Meeting to Order: 10:00 a.m.

Treasurer�s Report:
Beginning balance :$15235.02 Trust $187237.00
Debits: 657.04 (available 1/1/04)
Credits: $7412.00
Balance: 14577.98

Fire Station: 1489.30

Abandoned Cars: Notices were put on abandoned cars. Got rid of four cars (towed), washing machine and rubbish from road 3. When calling police, report cars as derelict not abandoned. Work with county whenever possible. There was 9 cars on the list 4 were towed. $50.00 for towing $75.00 if dolly is used. Allocated another $450.00 for additional towing. Bill put notices on 4 more cars. Motioned was passed.

Neighborhood Watch: Report on 3rd St. green Mazda pickup parking and smoking ice? Confronted by resident. No license number. Tom Brandt was burglarized, water pump and tools. New volunteer for neighborhood watch. Tommy he has his own CB.

Park Report: Suggestions � Decide on what to do with funds: play area, BBQ Pit, fertilizing, fence, basketball court, etc. Covered picnic area. Louie will get estimate on fence. Get more input on what people want?? Basketball court as top of the list. (What if someone gets hurt? Put up signs?
Volunteer Day last month was successful, some corners were cut back.

Volunteer Fire Dept.: One call in Fern Forest, small fire.
Paint Fire Station, Louie knows 2 painters who would paint at $15.00 per hour each. Molding needs to be cut and nailed up. Louie will get estimates for vents/windows in back rooms. Cut holes weld screens/bars instead of glass windows. Dave volunteered to put up trim

Road Report: Community service people are cutting back corners and road 23 is being widened so the lawn mower can drive down it. Two more loads of rock were dumped on road six. The list of places needing rock is shrinking, about two more months worth. Talked about putting up stop signs, need volunteers to do it.

Old Business: Talked with Jacobson again about the trees in the front by the rock wall. Maybe next year they will get funding to cut them down. Also talked with Jacobson about the access road between Fern Forest and Eden Roc for emergency purposes. Need to vote if we are going to open it. What will the county do to help? Couqi frog talks ongoing.

New Business: Need to ask county if they will supply reflective signs for the corner at the end of Kopua Road going into the subdivision.
